about

Melanie works in multiple mediums and genres of art including surface design, gouache and watercolor painting, and 3-dimensional work. Focusing on traditional, hand-crafted creations, her designs are intricate yet simple. She loves the process of making and seeing her ideas come to life. With an X-acto knife and paper in hand, the possibilities are endless.

Melanie has a degree in studio art from the University of California, Irvine. Art has played an essential role in her life since she and her family moved to the States from Rangoon, Burma at the age of seven and laid eyes on the colorful, classic characters of Disney and Winnie the Pooh. Her art has since evolved into something that is uniquely her own.

Her paper products are sold through theMYLshop on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/theMYLshop
